Hello HMBLL Community,
We’re excited about the upcoming Little League season. We remain fully committed to providing a safe and fun baseball environment for your players this Spring. We have been diligently following federal, state, city and Little League International rules, guidance and protocols. We have been in frequent communication with other District 52 little leagues across the peninsula. We have received approval to move forward with our program so please find the details below and also on our website at hmbbaseball.org . You can also find the most current information, including registration information, our city approved COVID-19 safety protocols and more on our website.
We are planning a 10 week season to begin the week of March 1-this will complete the season before Memorial Day. What has been approved is a 'Spring Training' practice-only format that will consist of stable cohorts of players (teams) participating only in practices, typically twice per week but it could vary by age. As the COVID situation improves we will reevaluate our plan with the City of HMB, including potentially playing games, after all other regulating agencies have cleared us to play.

If NOT playing this Spring: If you have now decided not to participate, please simply reply to this email and let us know the players names that will not be participating or go into your HMBLL account and cancel your registration.
Uniforms:
Every player will receive a HMBLL hat as part of their registration. Players will also have the option of purchasing a numbered jersey at an additional cost, however this is not required.
Professional Coaching:
This season we’ll be providing some outside professional coaching sessions for AAA, Minors, Majors and Juniors players and coaches. Details to follow.
Pescadero/South Coast Team: Some parents have inquired about the possibility for a Pescadero based team that practices locally. In the past few years we were thrilled to return little league to the south coast and we want to continue this in the future. For this season it will be dependent on having local volunteers (incl. a manager), as well as enough interested players which we currently do not have so we'd need some local help. If you have interest in managing a team that practices out of Pescadero or helping recruit players, please contact Jon Rose at [email protected].
Our aim is to provide an opportunity for the kids to get out of the house and be outdoors on the fields where they can exercise and have some social interaction in a controlled and safe environment that adheres to health orders and recommendations. We'll start the year in Spring Training mode and try to make them fun and competitive. We’ll continue to provide updates as things evolve. We look forward to getting back out onto the fields and playing ball again at Smith Fields this Spring.
Thank you for your patience and continued support. If you have any questions about registration, please contact Bob Baer at [email protected].
Thank You,
HMBLL Board
